Guided ski touring week in Lyngen Alps is a unique adventure that combines stunning fjord views, dramatic peaks, and pristine snow conditions. The Lyngen Alps is located just under 70 degrees in northern Norway, and they offer some of the best ski touring opportunities in the world, with a mix of challenging ascents and rewarding descents.
SEASON
The ski touring season in northern Norway typically runs from February to May, with March and April being the most popular months due to longer daylight hours and generally stable snow conditions.
GUIDES
Experienced guides with local knowledge ensure safety and optimal route choices. They provide instruction on techniques and safety throughout the tour.
ACCOMMODATION
We use lodge accommodation, where our guests also stay. The accommodation has three bedrooms for our quests, living room, kitchen, sauna by the arctic ocean, shower, toilet, wifi and much more. The accommodation includes bed linen and towels.
MEALS
Participants take care of meals themselves. The kitchen of the accommodation is well equipped and it is easy to prepare good meals there, even for a larger group.
Possibility to buy half-board at an additional cost.

Physical fitness and skills:
Participants should be in good physical condition and have some prior ski touring experience. Ability to handle variable snow conditions and undertake physical exertion is important.
Weather and Safety:
The Arctic weather can be unpredictable, requiring flexibility in plans. Daily assessments of weather and snow conditions are crucial for safety.
If we have to cancel the excursion planned for the day due to weather conditions, another activity will be planned for the day.
DETAILS and OVERVIEW
PRICE: 1190 € /person
This 7 night trip runs from Saturday to Saturday.
Price includes:
- Guided ski touring in Lyngen Alps and Tromsø area
- Lodge accommodation 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday

Saturday, arrival day:
Fly into Tromsø, the largest city in northern Norway.
- Meet your guides and fellow participants.
- Arrival at the Lodge
- Briefing on the week's itinerary, safety protocols, and equipment check.
Daily Routine:
- Morning: Wake-up, breakfast, and preparation for the day's tour.
- Skiing: Each day, embark on a different tour, our vertical drop ranging from 800 to 1500 meters. Destinations vary based on conditions and group ability but might include some classic peaks of Lyngen Alps.
- Lunch: A packed lunch on the mountain.
- Evening Activities: Dinner, route planning for the next day and socializing. Possible to witnessing the Northern Lights if conditions are favorable.
Saturday, departure day:
- Your guide will take you to the airport for your flight home.

Every participant needs skiing equipment:
Backpack, 30-40 liter (must enable to attach skis)
Randonnèe skis (preferably tech bindings) or splitboard
climbing skins and ski crampons
2-3 Heli straps
Ski boots

Gloves / mittens / hat (wind and waterproof)
Socks (for many days)
Insulating underwear (wool)
Insulating midlayer (wool, fleece or thin down west)
